Alcides Santopietro is a project management and organizational transformation expert with more than 25 years of international experience across the information technology, engineering, aviation, and digital media sectors, having delivered projects in over 10 countries.
Based in Montreal, Canada, he currently serves as President of the Board of Directors of PMI-Montréal, one of the largest chapters of the Project Management Institute worldwide. In this role, he actively contributes to the advancement of the profession and to strengthening the global community of project management professionals.
Throughout his career, Alcides has led and supported complex initiatives, helping organizations improve their project governance, strategic planning, and portfolio management practices to better align execution with business objectives.
He is also a speaker and author, and a co-author of the Project Management Institute publication AI Essentials for Project Professionals, which explores the opportunities and implications of artificial intelligence for the future of project management.
An industrial engineer with a master’s degree in project management, Alcides holds several industry-recognized certifications including PMP®, PMI-CPMAI, PMI-ACP®, DASSM, and CSM, and is a graduate of the PMI Leadership Institute Master Class.
He is particularly interested in the intersection of strategy, technology, and execution, and in the responsible integration of artificial intelligence into modern project management practices.
